 Company Founder and President, Sandra Gayle Peter

SGP Insurance was founded by Sandra Peter in August of 2004. Sandra is an Independent Agent with over 15 years of experience in business and the insurance industry.

Originally from Austin Texas, Sandra attended Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State) in the early 80's and graduated from Methodist College in North Carolina in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. As the wife of an Air Force Officer, Sandra worked as a business consultant, brought up her family and has relocated to such varied locations as Del Rio Texas, Little Rock Arkansas, Fayetteville North Carolina, Yokota Air Base, Tokyo Japan and finally settled in San Antonio Texas in 1995.

Sandra worked as an Executive Assistant with BioNumerik Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in the mid 1990's concentrating primarily on Human Resources ensuring proper insurance coverage for company employees. This sparked Sandra's interest in the insurance industry. Sandra relocated to American Heritage Life Insurance Company (AHL), now a subsidiary of Allstate Insurance, as a Regional Marketing Coordinator and then progressed to their Regional Sales Manager and Benefit Specialist for Independent Agents.

Following her association with AHL, Sandra moved to IBC Insurance Agency as their Life and Health Agent. Establishing this new department from scratch within IBC, Sandra gained valuable experience with companies and individuals concerning Life, Health, Dental, Disability and Supplemental Benefits.

Through the years, Sandra has accumulated Individual Agent Licenses in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas and Tennessee.

Sandra has now established herself as one of the premier Independent Insurance Agents in Central Texas. Through her in-depth knowledge and experience of insurance products and affiliations with other agents within the industry, Sandra has established SGP Insurance Agency to serve companies and individuals with the best quality insurance products at competitive rates.
